Kings Paradise is an amusement park located in Laramie, Wyoming. It is so far the only amusement park in the state of Wyoming after a small family park called Lions Park closed. It is a sister park to Kings Adventure, , Kings Island, and Kings Dominion.

History Edit

Kings Paradise opened in 1971 as Superland, operated by the Anders family (which consisted of Seamus and his parents Patrick and Catherine). In 1985, after Patrick succumbed to pancreatic cancer, Seamus was forced to sell the park along with its sister park to Kings Entertainment, who renamed it to Kings Paradise. In 1992, Paramount Parks bought the park when it bought out KECO and renamed it to "Paramount's Kings Paradise". After Paramount Parks shut down in 2006, Kings Paradise was sold to Six Flags instead of Cedar Fair like the others and renamed "Six Flags Thrill City". In 2008, Six Flags put the park up for auction. In 2009, it was bought by Cedar Fair, who gave back its Kings Paradise name.
