Hurricane Harbor Myrtle Beach is a water park in Myrtle Beach, SC. It opened in 1975, by Entertainment America Inc. as a theme park. In 1981 it was sold to 7Park Inc. In 2007, Six Flags bought and named it then in 2009 it was put on its own . Six Flags Ocean Park. In 2019 The park was sold again, this time to Adventure Parks , who gave it back it's original name. in 2019 the park split into 2 Aqua World and Adventure ocean the theme park in late 2019 they annouced they would expand the park more and there sister park Adventure ocean and they would add a hotel to make the Adventure Ocean Resort
